STARTER MOTORS

Here at Ribblesdale we appreciate your need to keep plant going and transport on the road.We therefore give it our priority and turn jobs around as quickly as we can. If we don’t have stock of the one you want, we are usually able to obtain one by the following day.

ALTERNATORS

The workshop reconditions and repairs a very wide range of alternators. From small mini digger types all the way up to large commercial vehicles. We have a computer controlled test bench that really puts them through their paces and various add on equipment to simulate the different types of engine computer control. All alternators are guaranteed for 12 months (6 month on taxi’s)

DYNAMOS

All sorts of dynamos end up here, from
standard Lucas C40 types to unusual 3rd brush Dynamos with resister coils wound in with the coils. We can also convert 3rd brush dynamos to work with a normal regulator and set them both up ready to to be fitted back on with no adjustments to make. We also recondition or repair many types of regulator.

MAGNETOS

There is a separate department within the workshop dedicated exclusively to magnetos. At the moment we recondition between 300 and 400 magnetos a year, not including repair jobs. we rewind our own coils to original specification but with modern materials, therefore making them better than the original.
